COVID-19 patients on ventilators

In the UK 𝟳𝟲% 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 received invasive ventilation within 24 hours from the admission to the hospital during the pandemic first struck 𝘃𝘀 𝟮𝟲% 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. Why is that? With more #knowledge of the virus and #scientific #breakthroughs, doctors are now more capable of treating the virus. They have realized that ventilation can be avoided even in patients that look ‘very sick’ and are 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 instead of ventilators involving intubation.
